In 1987, Master Chef Motoaki Aoki opened Oakville's first Japanese restaurant after having received an invitation from then-mayor Harry Barrett. Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, Aoki brought with him his passion for both sophisticated and homegrown flavours.
