  1. A great new experience.

I want to compliment you on your food at Lalibela. I have never tried Ethiopian dishes so this was a new experience. Avi the waitress was very helpful in selecting some food for me. Your decorations in the restaurant are very bright and colourfully. I love all the ethnic paintings and light fixtures. The best thing was the stir fried beef and vegetables, they were great. See you again.

  2. Best Ethiopian Restaurant

I’ve been here 4 or 5 times now. The menu is really big with a lot of Ethiopian dishes that people love and a selection of western choices. The food is fantastic, well done. The servers are really nice and friendly people. There is also a full bar, although I only drink beer.

Try Lalibela for something a little different.

  3. Great Food, Attractive Prices

Great food at very attractive prices, I recommend all people try it and will like the experience. Spicy Beef is my dish of choice.

  4. What a lovely restaurant, the staff were so friendly and greeted us with big smiles. The food was really good – very tastee. There are open late for the night owls too. I definitely recommend Lalibela.

  5. You must eat here.

Terrific place with creative and healthy food. You must try it.

  6. Loved my Lalibela experience

I loved my Lalibela experience, the meat dishes were served in spicy gravies and you use the bread to scoop up the meat and eat by hand. Or you can do like my girlfriend and use a knife and fork, really now. Very nice food though, I would like to try more of the dishes, so I’ll be heading back sometime.

  7. Nice for a Change

Hi Guys, this review is for the Lalibela on Bloor Street as they have 2 locations. Its very original and authentic Ethiopian decor and the waitresses are Ethiopian too. The food is a little different from my normal Canadian and Italian fare, but its a nice change.

When you order food you can ask for utensils if you want them. I just dig in with my hands like everyone else does. The bread they make is floppy not crispy, I don’t like that. But the overall taste is very good.

    Nice for a change.

  8. Thanks Lalibela

    Fantastic food, thanks Lalibela.
